Groping For Groypers?

 I'm really beginning to see Kirk's death as a hit more than an assassination. The elevation to political icon even by two of the nation's major sports leagues is- I believe- unprecedented. It's weird. What does he have to do with any ballgame? They are so corporate. Isn't it odd that they treat him like a great politician when he was neither great nor a politician? They didn't have to mention it at all. Or did they.

They are corporations. People too, it has been decided, presumably with hopes, dreams and emotions. 

Somebody wants this to be as important as the Kennedy assassination and the MLK assassination, perhaps all rolled into one. Only bigger. Why? The guy never got this much attention when he was alive- and I certainly get that getting murdered is a big change for anyone- but he just wasn't all that. I don't want to be mean, but I just don't see why he was worth whacking. He was a racist, misogynist asshole, but there are millions of them here. I thought he was silly. I enjoyed watching college kids debate him. Despite his age and prep work, he regularly got spanked by some pretty sharp kids, here and abroad. Yes, he was successful at mainstreaming Turning Point USA and made millions and, okay, that's no small task and he did it well, but he still thought gay people should be stoned to death. That's just not worthy of a moment of silence at Wrigley Field or Yankee Stadium. You don't get away with that because you've got a wife and kids. Will Trump be remembered and forgiven as a "family man"? 

The whole assassination scenario reeks more every day. I'm beginning to think the kid didn't do it. Things just don't add up. The limp as he walked to the scene. I watched enough gun nuts on YouTube the last couple of days to affirm my initial suspicion that shoved down your pants leg is not a good way to carry a rifle. But mostly, he wasn't doing that going up the stairs. So, where was the rifle? It wasn't in his pants at any point. No idea why he was limping other than perhaps, a performance. 

How then did he get the rifle onto the roof? Likely it was already up there by his hand earlier, or by someone else. Some have said he didn't take the shot, and they may be right, but what do you and I know about ballistics, second shooters on the grassy knoll and what does Trump's FBI want us to know about it? Not much, I suspect. The other glaring oddity is that there is very good footage of the suspect fleeing, jumping down off the roof with NO rifle. It is not a gun that breaks down easily. There is no fucking way that the kid broke the gun down- immediately after killing a man- and then making his getaway. Reportedly, he then went into nearby woods, reassembled the gun, and left it there to be found. 

None of that makes any practical sense, but that's what we're being told. And they throw in a possible transgendered roommate, groypers and bullets inscribed with video game quotes. Some of that isn't via the FBI, buts it's out there. It just seems like somebody is making this up as they go along. 

Honestly, I have to wonder if the kid isn't a patsy or a willing dupe. I hear he's not cooperating with the cops at all. His father, who turned him in, is due the $100,000 reward. Might even already have it. Was that the motivation- not to clip Kirk- but to obfuscate for the actual perpetrators? Stupid, but this is America. The father thinks his son might have done it (but doesn't know) the son gets picked up but doesn't confess (because he didn't do it) and they wind up with nothing but a lot of quirky circumstantial evidence that isn't going to get it in a court of law. I'm no legal scholar, but maybe. If this were the case, they didn't think it through. Perhaps I've thought it through too far myself. But I know the neighborhood and talk is cheap when the story's real good and the tales grow longer on down the line. It's late and that just came to me. I will not apologize. 

Thing is, I just can't see that the kid did it. This is a country where the media and powers that be still think Trump got shot in the ear last year. That was the most under-investigated assassination attempts ever. They got away with that, so why not this? 

At least with most mob hits, it doesn't matter who pulled the trigger. It matters only who ordered it done. Somebody who wasn't this kid wanted Kirk dead. Judging by who we have in The White House now and the way he and republicans are acting as if this was the crucifixion of Christ 2.0, I think I might know who is behind this. 

The why isn't hard. They need something to set things off. The tariffs and ICEcapades are flailing. They need something that will put heads on pikes. This isn't quite that, but what comes next? They want to act like their very way of life is in now constant danger from violent, radical libs. Something will happen again, soon, while the iron is hot.
