The King is Dead. Long Live the King

 Many people are saying that Trump might be- well, like our grandparents are, if you're a boomer. Others think he'll be joining our grandparents soon. (If he crosses my grandfather, he'll meet a man who once faced down a gangster who tried to rob his bank with a tommy gun. That man did not succeed) Whichever, Trump's not going to meet his doctor's 200-year life expectancy prognostication. What a shame. 

JD Vance has already come out and said he's ready to step into Trump's shoes. This will make him a couple inches taller. I don't know that maga will accept him- they might except him- but they have to understand that they really have no choice in this matter. Their involvement in all things Trump- while not over- has been kinda downsized. They were needed to get Trump back in The White House. They did that. What they didn't realize was that their mission was to get JD Vance into The White House. NOBODY could have done that on purpose. Nobody.

Yep, they used Trump to get JD Vance into power. Pretty, pretty, pretty cagey of them. The billionaires didn't want Trump to make America great again or anything like that. They just needed him to destroy democracy, something republicans have been wanting to do since the end of the civil war. Even though they became obscenely rich in a democracy, they felt unfairly held back by the rules, regulations and the very notion that their money should be taxed. They shouldn't have to dance with congress and a president every four or eight years to get a tax break. It's undignified! Why couldn't they have it all when they already have it all? 

So, they invested in the very undignified Donald J. Trump to get them into the coveted position in Washington. "Just be yourself" they smiled, you'll be fine." They just asked one little favor; to let them pick his Vice president. It was an offer he probably couldn't refuse. Really, why would he care? He's Donald J. Trump- the smartest man in any room. He knew that. 

Trump was not only the only choice for them, but he was also a good one. He had an expiration date that was pretty obvious. Poor health. Poorer mental faculties, diminishing rapidly. A no-brainer really, when you've got the guy you want on deck. 

JD will be up to bat soon. Trump will go to be with his grandparents anytime now. Joanie Ernst called it. This country is in for a world of shit. We'll be glad the orange buffoon is gone, but we'll find cold comfort in knowing he didn't get to fully see the full results of his fvckery. So, we got that going for us.

    I noticed the difference in the paragraphs where it looks like a cut and paste. One paragraph is darker. When I was writing the Rudy AI I noticed the same thing. Maybe it's my eyes.😵‍💫

Molehills On the Battlefield

An odd exchange with a follower earlier. To another poster I added to his complaint about the recent trend of side-by-side reaction videos They are dumb and pretty much unnecessary. My addition was that I didn't like the ones where someone is telling a joke, and on the other side of the screen is a clip of someone laughing outrageously. Why? And perhaps worse, the split screen is used to tell a story, and the other side is some inexplicable B-roll of some unrelated product being made. Again- why? Are these first world problems? Yes. But I wasn't crying or praying to Trump that these 'creators' be deported to a Sudanese prison. I was just kinda bitching. Is that wrong? To one follower, it was! Flipping the Script

 When it comes to TV and movies, I don't like to know how the sausage is made. But full disclosure, I find it hard to resist the inside info when it comes to "The Sopranos". As luck would have it, there are a bazillion YouTubes about all things Soprano.  It's kinda crazy to me that people that people spend so much time gossiping about a fictional show. "Why did this happen? Why that? How 'bout this theory?"  Shit like that. My first thought is always, ask the writer. It's their story. It's not ours to add anything to it. It's not "The Bible", after all.  Story arcs are different though. I've been seeing a lot of a particular arc in The Sopranos that always befuddled me.
