The Cavalry Is Not Coming

 Just spit balling, but if armed, masked men who refuse to ID themselves are trying to kidnap you- or others- doesn't Stand Your Ground apply? Republicans and the NRA worked VERY hard to get these laws passed, and this certainly seems like a necessary application to the law.

We've all seen or dealt with uniformed police in our everyday lives, and as far as I know about it, they are required to provide their name and badge number (when asked) when dealing with the public. You are already 100% sure they are legit cops, but for the record, they provide their name and badge number. 

What's so offensive about ICE is, they refuse to do this. They refuse to show warrants; they probably don't have anyway. This is like secret police in other countries, as seen on TV and the movies. It's not like America. When did this start happening, and why is it legal? Oh yes, it started this year and, no, I can't see how it could be. 

Well, we all know what's going on here with this guy. He's not allowed to impose tariffs on foreign countries (that's a congressional duty) but he does it anyway. I'm pretty sure he's not allowed to raise private armies to do anything but here he is doing just that. He's disappearing people with no due process, with his private army. Now, I'm no lawyer, but congress, cable news and other media are full of lawyers and I'm pretty sure law school taught them that this is not legal. So, why is this happening, largely unimpeded by the courts? 

It is happening because the powers that be and won't be are letting it happen. For fun and profit, I guess. I can't think of any good reason other than democrats are as tired of democracy as republicans have been the last one hundred years or so. Evidently, it's time to fundamentally change America into an oligarchy, plutocracy- whatever the fuck. Turn it over to the billionaires and corporations and let them run the whole show. Well, I thought they already did? You know- "Corporations are people too, my friend". This must be the fine print- for legal purposes. How odd, that they use a guy breaking all the rules, to solidify it. 

Every day we are realizing that the Cavalry is not coming to save us. Seventy-seven millions of us don't want that to happen anyway. Most of those people would support pedophilia if it were to make America great again. They are willing to forgive past, present and future rapes of children for their cause. Forget these stupid cocksuckers. They are not part of the solution because they are too busy being part of the problem. They cannot be deprogrammed. Forget the NRA and your local gun nut. It turns out that they were never interested in fighting tyranny. That was a sales pitch. Simple, but it worked! They embrace tyranny now and won't try to stop it. I think they will do their best to stop those that might try to thwart tyranny though. That means you and me. We're gonna get it from all sides. Who would have thought democracy would end this way, with the Cavalry itself whimpering out with a bang?

Molehills On the Battlefield

An odd exchange with a follower earlier. To another poster I added to his complaint about the recent trend of side-by-side reaction videos They are dumb and pretty much unnecessary. My addition was that I didn't like the ones where someone is telling a joke, and on the other side of the screen is a clip of someone laughing outrageously. Why? And perhaps worse, the split screen is used to tell a story, and the other side is some inexplicable B-roll of some unrelated product being made. Again- why? Are these first world problems? Yes. Her Soft Underbelly Exposed

One of the better interviewers you'll see on YouTube is Mark Laita of the "Soft, White Underbelly" channel. It's my understanding he is primarily a photographer whose interest has always been photographing the unseen segments of society- the street people, prostitutes, criminals and kinda freaks of life, that we generally ignore. Maybe it's all in the editing, but his success seems to be in letting his subjects talk without too much prompting from him. It's their story.  This episode was with a porn star- Addison Vodka. Well, that's what she goes by. Though I have seen my share of porn, I'm not on a first or last name basis with most of these people.
