Second Verse, Not the Same as the First

 The previous post was not to say that the whole Trump agenda dies when he does. No, these motherfuckers are in it to win it. Make no mistake about that. Trump is just the guy hired to transition us from a democratic republic to a dystopian nightmare. He's the congenial host. He ain't running a goddamned thing but his mouth. 

Maga loves him. So does the media. Republicans have always wanted to destroy democracy but try and think of any republican in the last century and try to come up with one that could destroy democracy. No, not Reagan. He was evil in his own right and people mythologized him, probably more so after his presidency, but that was likely to mask his late term senility. They cowboyed him up based on his mediocre film and television career, but he didn't have the killer instinct that Trump has. Reagan really couldn't even fake it. "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall" is really little more than telling kids to get off your lawn. 

Now, Trump is a pussy's idea of a tough guy, but that works somehow. I don't know how, but it does. Gawd, I really don't know how! He's so transparent to me, but maybe that's just me. I've been around real and faux tough guys all my life. You learn to read a guy to see if he's a danger to you. Trump reads like a comic book. Obviously still a danger though, just the back-stabbing bitch kind. That's worse. Really, that's Trump.

But if he were suddenly out of the picture, the whole dynamic changes. They'd quickly lose Maga, but suddenly, congressional republicans would find their balls. I don't know that threats of being primaried would carry as much weight. Sure, if Musk is still around, he could threaten with his wealth, but would that work on the voting base that was so Trump-centric? They'll be in mourning once their reason to live is gone, and now that the media mentions it, those tariffs and the ensuing inflation and job losses that were kinda OK when Trump was around, suddenly don't seem so tolerable. Owning libs is expensive!

President Vance might have to continue the Executive Orders because he'll find a less friendly republican caucus because now, they can afford second thoughts. And those EO's will thus come harder and faster. They will have to get meaner, faster without the Golden Boy to take the heat. Whenever this happens- if it happens- it's going to get desperately ugly for them. 

They must have a plan. Surely, they looked at the old, fat bastard and created a Plan B for when the hamberders got him. The thought has crossed my mind before that they might hasten his death to avoid getting their asses beat in the midterms. We'll see about that. I still think it's viable as the country deteriorates. They just can't have their fvckery put to an unpopular vote. Trump passing naturally just couldn't spark Martial Law and suspension of the Constitution.  

You have to accept that these people are very serious about this coup. They won't relinquish power in 2028 either because a loss means prison for so many. They know that they can't count on a weakling like Merrick Garland with this one. Trillions of dollars are at stake. We live in interesting times.
