This Is What Fvckocracy Looks Like!

Is the United States a democracy or a republic? Right now, it's a shitshow, but the question still stands.

The answer is: It depends on who you talk to.

There isn't a bigly difference between the two systems and you'd be better off googling to learn what they are. On social media the differences are regularly defined by layperson constitutional experts who think the difference is rather Grand Canyonesque. Been seeing this for years. You could say something like, "In a democracy you cannot round up random citizens and execute them."

You say that to a republican and they will grin, thrust their index finger at you and scream, "WE ARE A REPUBLIC!!!!!!"

It's a gotcha for them, the implication being that, yes, you can round up citizens and execute them in a republic.

Well, you can't. You just can't. Even before maga was invented, republicans were on the internet looking for loopholes in everything. I've seen thousands of idiot's surmises that we are a Christian nation, because it says, "In God We Trust" on our money. People type these things with supposedly straight fingers. They believe it. They've done their own research...

I wish I could show you the REEL I saw earlier where a very cute young girl declared we are a republic because some guy I never heard of said in 1966 that we were. Well, I'm a Luddite and I can't figure out how to do those REEL things here. Just trust me that she's as dumb as she is pretty. In fact, the guy in her evidence clip kinda undoes her assertion of us being a republic- not a democracy- because he says "...a democracy always degenerates into a dictatorship..."

GOTCHA, you fvcking 'tards!

What happened on January 20 of this year? We got a dictator. That proves that we were a democracy all along! I just won the internet! In your face, pretty REEL girl! Go make me a sammich.

If Led Zepplin taught us anything, it's that you know sometimes words have two me-ean-nings. Perhaps the definitions of republic and democracy are a distinction without a difference.

Regardless, we are neither of those things now. We are a dictatorship. The only thing left to do is debate whether this is an oligarchy, plutocracy, corporatocracy, autocracy or the newly coined, "mafiocracy".

It's probably (D) All of the above. No matter how you define it, we're fvcked.
