No Taxation- with proper representation!
Why do we bother with this ridiculous dance of tax cuts for billionaires every four years? Why tax billionaires at all? Don Trump may answer that.
Not sure it's in the wind, though, and I really wonder why not. There's a cap on so many things in life. There might as well be a cap on when you stop paying taxes. Let's say it's $100 million. No, let's say it's $10 million because if you put the goal at $100 million, people with $50 million dollars will fucking muke about how unfair that is to them. We don't want to punish anyone here. We're not animals.
In an oligarchy like the United States, not paying taxes at all is the goal of every wealthy person. Ask the poorest, dumbest maga and you will learn that taxes are theft. It's just awful that you make money and the dang gubmint has its hand out every April saying, "Gimme our share!"
"OUR SHARE??" What the fuck does the dang gubmint have to do with the hedge fund that YOU sweated over?? Or the pharmaceutical company? Is the gubmint currently dodging bullets on the mean streets of Manhattan because certain people are jealous of your success in the Healthcare field? I don't think so.
I know many people with red hats on their heads in Appalachia are wondering, "Ferrerman, wouldn't this no-tax dealie put an end to the subsidies that billionaire corporations like Bigly Oil and Elon Musk receive? They earned those hundreds of millions yearly credits! Are you some kinda communist socialist fascist who hates success??!!"
The answer to both questions is, "Well, maybe, I dunno."
You can see it's very confusing. Lots to ponder.
John Steinbeck once noted that most Americans view themselves as "temporarily embarrassed millionaires". He said that about a hundred years ago, during the depression, and, well, a million dollars doesn't get you much these days. Today there are light-hitting shortstops with rudimentary glove skills who make more than that in Major League Baseball. They aimed pretty low in those olden days.
It's a safe bet that most Americans do fancy themselves as future billionaires though and they think it's wise to protect their future money from the dang gubmint. This is why they worship the wealthy now. This is why we have Trump- again. Did Kamala Harris say word one about protecting your future billions? No. Did Trump? Also "no". But Trump is like jazz. It's the notes they don't play in jazz that you listen for. It's the things that Trump doesn't say that you should listen for, because you know what he means. Know what I mean?
It would be quite an incentive for any young Entrepeneur to know that once he hit that $10 million mark, his money was his, ALL his. You'd see some hustle out there with that golden carrot dangling in front of so many! There'd be no slacking in the hedge fund field, that's for sure. This would surely be good for all of America, though I have no idea how. That's for conservative pundits to explain. Most of them are hard-working millionaires slaving over podcasts.
You gotta aim higher America! The dream of a tax less society for our nation's wealthiest is within rich- I mean reach.
