Spooky Saturday

 I'm having internet trouble- or am I? I'm not getting Bluesky or Facebook to load. I've got Google, Pornhub, Yahoo- everything fires right up but FB and BS. Could it be possible for one Ferrerman to be sanctioned by both sites at the same time? Why would anyone in their right mind do such an evil deed? It makes no sense. I looked around on Yahoo to see if I had received any official word from either site about any nefarious deeds I might be accused of perpetrating, but nothing of the sort. Maybe they don't bother with formalities anymore? Until (possibly) I've never been sanctioned by Bluesky, and it's been several years since FB dropped the hammer on me for their cheap shit. I probably don't know anybody in the yard there anymore. 

I can't figure this out. Why just those two big and semi-big sites both go out for me at the same time? To my knowledge they are not related to each other in anyway. BS went first and then I was on FB long enough to check a couple notifications and see a cousin's granddaughter in her cute Halloween costume. Maybe her burglar outfit broke the internet? That makes as much sense as anything else. 🤷 BTW, none of those "Is (a site) down sites report any outages at all- as of October 30, which was fucking yesterday! Big help there, eh? If this were election night I could see if it was Trump sour grapes and fuckery from getting his butt kicked in the midterms, but it's still October. 

I'm looking at NHL hockey on TV and they don't have commercials. Kinda worse that they have a screen and dead air with sound that is like a spooky wind mixed with real sad ocean sounds. I kinda would rather hear the commercials than this spooky shit. Oh, well, we'll see if this works itself out.

    Hey, I thought the problem was on my side! Bluesky doesn't load images for minutes. They are serious awful. This post doesn't show up on Bluesky.

    The plot thickens! Or does it? I have NO idea what went wrong last night or what went RIGHT today, but both sites ARE back and they evidently were always on my phone! And the last thing I did- just 20 minutes ago- was download Chrome (as a lark) and then everything started working. I'm pretty damn sure that THAT wasn't the solution! I may have mentioned I'm a "problem solver". On the internet I'm a problem solver by fumbling through shit! NO idea what was wrong or what eventually went right! Crazy. The blogpost never was able to get Bluesky because I could not do ANYTHING. So, fuck it, it's working. I'll take it!

 Trump is going to allow firing squads for executions. Clearly, this is to satiate the bloodlust of his Maga faithful and give his regime the appearance of being all into law & order, but there is more afoot. There always is. Twenty-seven states allow capital punishment, but six of those are under moratoriums and not currently allowed to kill anyone. Does Trump's Kingly edict override all fifty states? Who knows when a republic gives way to a fascist monarchy overnight? It's hard to keep up with the changes when they come via a social media site or Executive Orders.  Personally, my beef with capital punishment is that it is too final. You make legal missteps and put a person in prison for life; you can give that person their life back when new evidence shows they were innocent. If you execute them, you can't. Molehills On the Battlefield

An odd exchange with a follower earlier. To another poster I added to his complaint about the recent trend of side-by-side reaction videos They are dumb and pretty much unnecessary. My addition was that I didn't like the ones where someone is telling a joke, and on the other side of the screen is a clip of someone laughing outrageously. Why? And perhaps worse, the split screen is used to tell a story, and the other side is some inexplicable B-roll of some unrelated product being made. Again- why? Are these first world problems? Yes. But I wasn't crying or praying to Trump that these 'creators' be deported to a Sudanese prison. I was just kinda bitching. Is that wrong? To one follower, it was!
