I've heard these statements in the bars and jobsites of my life, and I would shake my head at the great unwashed snarling them whenever the subject of politics reared its head. What idiot children these men were to just brush off their involvement in the political process, by writing them all off as crooks.

Well, the stupid fuckers are right, just for all the wrong reasons. Republicans and democrats are in this together, taking turns fleecing the citizens for fun and profit. This is by design. It is why we can't have nice things. It is why we have Chuck Schumer as senate minority leader and senate majority leader depending on whose turn it is to be in charge. That's a big clue right there. This Seinfeld's Mr. Littman is the most useless piece of shit this side of Donald J. Trump. He's a horrible character. I mean Schumer- not Littman. Both are playing a role though. 

Politics is Hollywood for ugly people. It is theater for the absurd and it is a scripted performance for the longest running show in history. 

In a sense it has to be this way. All governments are in cahoots with each other until they are not. The US is the longest running show in modern history, coming up on 250 years in business this July. Our success has been the two-party system played out quite well on the world stage even though we have been one party in charge for most of this time. That one party has always been the rich motherfuckers. Democrats and republicans work for them. This is necessary because when you are a billionaire, you don't need to be bothered with roads and bridges in areas of the country you don't give a shit about, but you concede are somehow important to the overall business of your getting richer. That is what it is all about. The politicians serve the wealthy. They only serve the people for appearances sake, when it behooves the wealthy to allow them to do so. Politics looks good on paper and in the papers, when the general public believes that something is being done about their problems. It's a show. 

Think of the mafia. Why do criminals commit these big scores only to give the bulk of their take to whomever is the boss at the time? It's because they know that they only are able to pull off these heists because they exist by the leave of the powerful mob boss. They try to do this shit on their own, they get killed. They know that. They accept that. It's a living. It's a dumb fucking way to make a living, but it is how it's done.

It's the same in politics in the house and the senate, as well as the state versions of the same. You play the game and you get a nice life. Some nicer that others, but that is because some play the game better than others, regardless of what the game is. You stay in your lane, and you will (probably) be fine. Veer out of that lane and you are a dead Kennedy. 

I've felt this way for a long time. I just didn't want to admit that my dumb friends and barflies have been right about politics- even if for the wrong, unstudied reasons. They fucking nailed it. Yes, they are all crooks. Some may not know it or be a crook- AOC comes to mind- but she is in the most corrupt organization this side of the mafia, whether she knows it or not. That old motherfucker, Schumer- he knows it. How do you last in Washington that long- doing nothing- unless you fully know your role and how to play it? Why does nothing really change when democrats get in power? Shouldn't a Clinton or an Obama as president with majorities in both houses get whatever they want done? Who could stop them? 

Well, the dead Kennedy's again. 

How is Donald Trump- the dumbest fucking, most ridiculously intellectually vulgar, bonafide asshole imaginable able to do what he's doing now, largely unchecked? It's because it's in the script, baby. After 250 years of showboat democracy, the rich are tired of pretending that it works for appearances sake. It doesn't. Not anymore. Though they became multi-billionaires because of this two-party democracy, they are done with the show. The irony of it happening in America's birth celebration is not lost on them. They fucking love it. The game is over. They won. We lost. It's not that nothing can stop them, it's that no one will. That should be obvious today as they are shooting moms in the streets of Minneapolis and no one in any sort of position of power is actually doing anything about that. We the people are on our own and neither Chuck Schumer nor AOC is coming to save us. Chuck couldn't even if he wanted too. AOC simply can't. Though from a Ferrerman's perspective, of them all, AOC would be the best choice to lead us in the ensuing revolution, with beautiful breasts breaking out of a peasant blouse and her terrible swift sword in hand, as she leads us in battle against the troops in the employ of the wealthy bourgeois. Democratic socialism still gets my dick hard because I still think it could work. It can. THEY just won't let it. Not lucrative enough. "How are we going to pay for that??!!" as they used to say. They don't have to say that anymore.
