Is Wrong Right Now?

 In this mixed up, jumbled up, shook up world, could the whole Epstein Island saga come down to the only crime being a poor, defenseless 50-some-year-old man coerced into sucking the dick of a former POTUS? Sure! It's 2025. Absolutely anything is possible- except universal healthcare for Americans. 

I like things to make sense. That is asking a lot at times. Maybe my opening here didn't make sense, but it sure was fun to write! Things have certainly not always gone my way in life, but I have long since learned to roll with that. Sometimes it's been my fault. I even concede that some things have been my fault when clearly, someone else had wronged me. In retrospect, I accept that I should have seen it coming because much of the time, I did. Not a lot of people will make that admission in public, or more importantly, to themselves. To thine own self be true.

Our jaws are on the floor day in and day out as we watch and listen to Trump and his administration tell ridiculous lie after lie. We still ask if they really believe the shit they say, or if they are lying for a purpose. What a horrible thing to ponder. "Are you a fucking liar, or are you fucking stupid?" The answer often is, "(D) All of the above". 

Good Lord, it's sad that one, the other, or both are increasingly becoming more acceptable by the hour. Trump is a fucking liar. He's also a documented idiot. But...he's President of the United States and because of that we have to accept what he says and does. Apparently, we have no choice because, them's the rules now. This mendacious idiocy also spreads like a virus into our everyday lives. How frustrating is it to go on practically every thread on the internet and see ordinary people being as stupid as Trump? They defend him with only the vaguest expectation of profiting from his lies. Imagine being stupid for free. Many of Trump's maga are astute enough to realize he's a lying thief, but they are OK with that. He gets results for himself. I've always said that the US population (@ 330 million) allows for tens of millions of fucking morons. That's just the simple math of life. 

Ever notice how maga-types believe that since they have life all figured out, everyone should? Why isn't everyone as smart as them? For example, Medicare cuts. "Why are you taking government handouts, old lady, or one-legged man, when you should just get off your ass and get a goddamned job??!!" Such *logic* extends from the trailer park to the gated communities. People of ALL education and income levels can be fucking idiots. Again, some are stupid for money, some are just born that way. Both frustrate me.

But in a way, I am as ignorant as they are. A guy like me with just a high school education and the college of hard knocks that is life, sees through fucks like Trump at first glance. Here I go thinking everybody should. Like George Carlin said, "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize that half of them are stupider than that". My incredulity at how stupid people are is stretched to the limit every goddamned day, but it shouldn't be. I actually know enough about life to realize that not everybody "gets" it. Often irrespective of upbringing, certain people will become drunks, drug addicts, brilliant scientists or great athletes. There are certainly other factors involved in success or failure. I get that. But I'm daily shocked at the vast number of people who simply cannot tell right from wrong.

Most four-year-olds know right and wrong. Life either reinforces that, or it tears it down, over the years. 

There's not a fucking thing I can do about that. I have to remind myself of that every day. The people I skirmish with on the internet are fucking idiots. The president of my country is a fucking idiot, as are the people around him. So many people who know right from wrong lost the plot long ago. Life is a game for them, one they are playing to win, regardless of the cost and that is all that matters to them. If they do know right from wrong, they are quite comfortable ignoring it. They may share my assessment of Trump, but they no longer care. They smile and lie their way through each day. The money is good. The power is better. The wrong is right if you get away with it. And maybe they will. The fuckers.
