The Karls Have Come Home to Roost

 When Elvis died, we were at a get together at Jimmy H's house. Just another night of socializing with beer and weed. No one was happy he died. It was more like they simply didn't care. His music was not our music of the time. The only person who took it hard was Karl K. He was drunk and belligerently upset. Damn near combative, like he was looking for a fight. I recall thinking it was kinda forced sadness. A lot of times when people are upset about one thing- but embarrassed about it- they go in another direction. Karl had never portrayed himself as the World's #1 Elvis fan. Why was he taking it so hard? He lashed out at us for our Billy Joel fandom. "Why is Billy Joel alive when Elvis is dead??!!" Not exactly a question that requires an answer, The boy was drunk. He'd get over it. 

If the Kirk death has shown us anything, it's that the maga world will not react well when Trump passes. No matter how naturally he passes, there will be hell to pay. I haven't seen nor heard of Karl in decades, but if he is alive, I'm sure he's maga. That boy was born to be maga. So many people in the US were. If Trump did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him. His demise will be out of their control and so will be their reactions. 

As it stands now, we are thisclose to being forbidden from using Kirk's name in vain. A week ago, most Americans couldn't find Charlie Kirk on a map of Charlie Kirk's. But now we are being told to think of him only as a great leader- and certainly a future president had he not been crucified by a leftist transgender. Okay...that's not how elections are decided, but they digress. 

Ours is a weird, Karl K country now. The DEI hire FBI director just came out and said that there is no evidence that Jeffery Epstein trafficked girls to anyone but himself. Someone said that Kash Patel looked like a raccoon caught rummaging in a trash can and I wish that I had thought of that! Fucking nailed it! Evidently everyone was wrong about the whole case including the victims, the fancy lady that procured the young girls (and went to prison for this) and the deceased perpetrator (Epstein) who epsteined himself in jail, wracked with guilt over his sexual perversity which was, of course, all his own, no one else's, certainly not Trump's but absolutely Bill Clinton's if you libs want to get smart about it. Do you??!!

That's where we are- in the hell of the impossibility of reason. People are saying, "Well, that hasn't happened yet" as if it were proof that it won't. If you find yourself using insane people's logic, are you not insane yourself? We are in a lot of trouble here. We have to face up to that. It's not twitterish gadflies on FOX and anonymous Facebook trolls saying we should be locked up for not properly adoring the memory of a niche market icon- it's the fucking government!  "The beatings are going to continue until morale improves" seems to be the order of the day. 

I didn't really mean to go down another rabbit hole of trumpian doom. It is hard not to. This fucking country gets weirder every day! I write to clear and comfort my mind. So far, so good. But anyone bent on erasing history will surely erase your future. We are all still day to day, but those days were a fucklot more promising just last year.

Molehills On the Battlefield

An odd exchange with a follower earlier. To another poster I added to his complaint about the recent trend of side-by-side reaction videos They are dumb and pretty much unnecessary. My addition was that I didn't like the ones where someone is telling a joke, and on the other side of the screen is a clip of someone laughing outrageously. Why? And perhaps worse, the split screen is used to tell a story, and the other side is some inexplicable B-roll of some unrelated product being made. Again- why? Are these first world problems? Yes. But I wasn't crying or praying to Trump that these 'creators' be deported to a Sudanese prison. I was just kinda bitching. Is that wrong? To one follower, it was! Her Soft Underbelly Exposed

One of the better interviewers you'll see on YouTube is Mark Laita of the "Soft, White Underbelly" channel. It's my understanding he is primarily a photographer whose interest has always been photographing the unseen segments of society- the street people, prostitutes, criminals and kinda freaks of life, that we generally ignore. Maybe it's all in the editing, but his success seems to be in letting his subjects talk without too much prompting from him. It's their story.  This episode was with a porn star- Addison Vodka. Well, that's what she goes by. Though I have seen my share of porn, I'm not on a first or last name basis with most of these people. So, I fired up the Pornhub to see what she what she was like in action. She does a good job for a girl with such a schpankable bottom. No doubt. But she was an enlightening interview.
