Hey- It Really Does Take a Village!

 Donald Trump didn't lie to me. He tried, but it didn't take. I saw through all his bullshit, probably before he came down the escalator in Trump Tower to announce his disdain for Mexicans. Oh, and he announced his run for the presidency too. 

He lied to Maga, the simple-minded, common men and women who aren't as adept at thinking things through as I often am. I've got a pretty good track record of thinking things through- not perfect, mind you- but better than most. I've made some glaring errors in my life. They even have names to remember they by- Laura and Jennifer. I can't kick too much about that because my heart was in the right place at the time. It's in a better place now, because I learn from my mistakes. There are just some people you shouldn't trust, and that's the way it is. The trick is to figure out who those people are and walk away from there. Or run. 

Trump was an easy read. There was no spankable bottom obfuscating his being. Of course not. My bottom line (pun fully intended) is that I don't trust men. Women seem to be catching on to this of late- and they act like they invented it- but this is something I've known for decades. Guys are going to lie and brag and bluff and bluster to get over on you for any reason at all, or no reason at all. They just do. And that's Trump. His reasons are generally financial but strip the money away and guys like Trump will still do it for free. When a guy goes to all the pomp and circumstance to descend an escalator with his stunt wife just to complain about Mexicans, while applying for the first job he has ever had, you know he is not a serious person. 

The thing is, other people can't see that so readily. Or if they do, they don't care because they think they can deal with it. The media surely laughed at Trump, but pretty quickly figured out that this guy- obnoxious asshole that he so obviously was- was going to be a ratings bonanza. People must like to be offended and duped because they let it happen all the time. They covered him like the spray tan on his face. Heavily, but not very well. The rest, as they say, is history. Many people are saying that.

What I'm saying is, in a nation of over 330 million people, that population allows for tens of millions of really stupid people. The last official count in November of 2024, that total was over 77 million people. That's a lot of dumbasses! If 77m is the total in China (population over 1 billion with a "b") it is no small wonder that they are beating us at everything. How do they do it? Volume, volume, VOLUME!

See, it only takes one idiot to fuck it up for everyone. One idiot to start the ball rolling down the escalator. Seventy-seven million to pick it up and run the wrong way with it.

Really people: you couldn't see this coming? Trump said, "I alone can fix it", but he meant, "It takes a village to fuck it up!" Maga, you are the village. Population: You. 

You all just don't know men. Ladies- CALM DOWN! That includes us fellas too. Everyone is so sensitive about people being people and being stupid while peopleing.

    I think men like him because he's given his blessing to be disgusting pigs. Still baffles me why women put up with it.

Molehills On the Battlefield

An odd exchange with a follower earlier. To another poster I added to his complaint about the recent trend of side-by-side reaction videos They are dumb and pretty much unnecessary. My addition was that I didn't like the ones where someone is telling a joke, and on the other side of the screen is a clip of someone laughing outrageously. Why? And perhaps worse, the split screen is used to tell a story, and the other side is some inexplicable B-roll of some unrelated product being made. Again- why? Are these first world problems? Yes. But I wasn't crying or praying to Trump that these 'creators' be deported to a Sudanese prison. I was just kinda bitching. Is that wrong? To one follower, it was! Flipping the Script

 When it comes to TV and movies, I don't like to know how the sausage is made. But full disclosure, I find it hard to resist the inside info when it comes to "The Sopranos". As luck would have it, there are a bazillion YouTubes about all things Soprano.  It's kinda crazy to me that people that people spend so much time gossiping about a fictional show. "Why did this happen? Why that? How 'bout this theory?"  Shit like that. My first thought is always, ask the writer. It's their story. It's not ours to add anything to it. It's not "The Bible", after all.  Story arcs are different though. I've been seeing a lot of a particular arc in The Sopranos that always befuddled me.
