Objectively Subjective Today

My hat is off to anyone who is endeavoring to persevere in these troubling times. There is nothing wrong with that. Keep on keeping on with your first world problems and don't let the bastards get you down. THEY do not want you to keep on keeping on. Or, maybe they do, because it makes their evil plans hit harder. Shit. Hadn't thought about that.

It's easy to doomscroll Bluesky or watch the news and get very unhappy, very quick about what is going on in this rapidly degrading country. We are going to Hell in a handbasket with a demented old man's tiny grip on the handle. It absolutely is insane and stupid and totally unnecessary. But it's what the rich people want, or worse, what they think they want. (Ferrerman note: Never assume the rich or your boss- or anyone in charge- truly knows what they are doing. More often than not, they don't. Most everyone is making decisions above their paygrade. They just don't want to admit it.)

Take Trump. Please. Objectively, he's doing a pretty good job if you realize his aim is nation-wide conquest so that he and his already-wealthy benefactors can become wealthier. Subjectively, he's fucking that up Bigly because it's a dumb idea and he's an idiot. This is to say that he's getting closer to his goal than anyone else could right now, but he's still an idiot and fucking it up. (Other Ferrerman note: Do you think his handlers don't know that? He was the only guy that could get them in The White House and then be the face of all the changes they want, and he subjectively did that, but he's objectively fucking that up. They, and most everyone else, knew how creepy he was, but suddenly, that's a liability for them. They are going to make a change soon and it won't be for show.)

Everyone talks about his "distractions" as if they still want to believe this babbling old fool is really playing 5D tantric chess. Take his immigration *strategy* of kidnapping busboys and maids and pretending that there is an all-of-a-sudden invasion/crisis of Hispanic people that Biden was in on and that they haven't been here for decades. Well, in the restaurant, and then the construction world that I have existed in all these years, I promise you we need these people because they are hard-working, industrious, human beings. Yes, I did say "human beings". Sue me, Trump. 

But they are a distraction, just as we all are with our silly first-world problems and our pursuit of happiness, while daily subjected to every little bit of Trump fuckery. Our hopes and dreams no longer amuse the rich. We have become, cumbersome, to their world. I don't think they really are interested in selling us houses, cars and dishwashers anymore. The goal seems to be us trying to stay fed and housed like the pioneers., instead of consumer goods. I mean- you take away the people who are so good at picking the crops and then you just kick back and raise the prices. You'll be fine. We won't. There's 330+ millions of us in what is still advertised as the greatest country in the world, and they sure seem intent on starving us to thin the herd like Stalin and Mao did to their countrymen. America couldn't do that to America, could it? Why not? we do it to other people. This is the country that slaughtered the buffalo just to deprive the Indians of food and clothing. It's not just us. Israel is bombing the ruins of Gaza to kill the remaining humans and facilitate the demolition to expedite construction of Trump hotels and golf courses. Objectively, that's pretty smart to save on demolition costs. Subjectively, Israelis are murderous assholes. So, it seems are we. 

At least our billionaires are. They tired of building better mousetraps for a living. They are even creating their own money- crypto. How is that going to work? I dunno. I'm as dumb as the next guy when it comes to crypto. Probably dumber. But I'm smart enough to know it won't work. It won't work because it's stupid and impractical. 

What can we the people, the poor huddled masses, do about this? Honestly, not much. We're not ignoring it by streaming our shows on TV, buying our doo dads and doo hickeys on Amazon- or locally. We're not failing by going about our lives in the American way we were promised, was promised to us. We pursue happiness in our own ways, as we should. Don't let the bastards get you down. But keep an eye out towards the future. There will come a day- soon- when we are fighting and dying in the streets. That's because these greedy, rich motherfuckers will fail. Joanie Ernst wasn't wrong that everybody is gonna die. There was a resignation in her voice when she said that. She gave up. She's on the wrong side of history and she knows it. She has given up her freewill to the Devil in the details of Donald Trump. Stupid bitch. 

We just have to keep on keeping on, trying to be happy. Invest in guns and ammo along with eggs and butter, because while the former combo didn't make America great, it did help America come along and perhaps keep a Trump from coming along sooner. That's an argument for another day. Just suffice to say, the NRA was never going to protect us. It was always about protecting them and getting rich in the process. 

Obviously, congress isn't coming to save us either. The thing is, we probably need this to happen and see this through. Get rid of the bad blood now that they've shown their hand before they get better at screwing this up, because they'll NEVER get better at doing right by us. Those days are gone. Enjoy today, as if it were the last. Make jokes. Dance. Sing. But get ready to fight for us while we still matter.
