Dress Code

Ever since I was a young boy watching WWII movies, I knew that Nazi's were bad. They were the enemy. They dressed well as they had the coolest uniforms. Most were designed by Hugo Boss. Yeah- that guy. I wasn't aware of the holocaust until the 6th grade until I found the book, "The Theory and Practice of Hell". Pretty serious reading for a 6th grader. I even did an oral book report on it. I doubt my classmates were impressed, and I wonder if the teacher didn't make a notation in my permanent record to "keep an eye on this Ferrerman...

Around this time, I began mentally picturing my enemies in Nazi uniforms. If they wore it well, they were evil. I still do this. Every time I see White House Propaganda Spokesbitch, Karoline Leavitt, I see her in a smart, Nazi officer's ensemble. She's blonde- as far as I know- and maybe was chosen for her Aryan appearance. I've seen pictures of her with her OEM nose, and I approve. Her trump-nose doesn't really fit her face. I don't mind people making changes, but like any remodeling effort, "Make sure your addition is not a subtraction". Same with Fraulein Noem, who is the head of Fatherland Security. She was very much the girl-next-door until she opted for the Mar Lago, retired hooker look. She's born evil, of course, having murdered animals without any remorse whatsoever. I don't know if Karoline has killed animals- who- uh- nose (<---) but she sure acts like she would do it and enjoy it, and that it would be the right thing to do. 

That really bothers me about her. She strikes me as a true believer in Trump and that's scarier than the others serving Trump in his realm. She seems excessively dedicated and very angry while the others seem to understand the assignment. She believes all of Trump's childish anti-journalist rhetoric and she scolds them all the time. How can they Nazi that Trump is the greatest president EVER- bar none, end of story, next question. 

What she doesn't know is that the MSM has been blowing Trump for a decade now. Their fellating of him is a big part of the reason we can't have nice things in this country anymore. They normalized and both-sides' him. They openly fantasized that he could be POTUS from inside a prison! They basically had her job before her. They did it in a more palatable way, most of the time, is all. 

The old Jewish admonishment, "Be careful what you wish for- you might get it", applies here. The media played fast and loose with Trump, kinda hoping for the ratings bonanza a crazed, treasonous felon could be as Commander in Chief. If he didn't make it, ok, they'd move on, trashing President Harris and biding their time until a senile, 83-year-old Trump staged yet another comeback. What a story that would be!

Flipping the Script

 When it comes to TV and movies, I don't like to know how the sausage is made. But full disclosure, I find it hard to resist the inside info when it comes to "The Sopranos". As luck would have it, there are a bazillion YouTubes about all things Soprano.  It's kinda crazy to me that people that people spend so much time gossiping about a fictional show. "Why did this happen? Why that? How 'bout this theory?"  Shit like that. My first thought is always, ask the writer. It's their story. It's not ours to add anything to it. It's not "The Bible", after all.  Story arcs are different though. I've been seeing a lot of a particular arc in The Sopranos that always befuddled me. Marisa Tomei Likes Me

Marisa Tomei- I always thought I had a chance with her... That's a line from a "Seinfeld" episode where George Costanza said that about Marisa Tomei, and then as the script would have it, he met Marisa Tomei and they hit it off. Every mention of Marisa Tomei on the internet- if I see it- I will post it. Seinfeld fans get it.  So, I did that last week on a Facebook post and quickly got a like from Marisa Tomei. This caused me click on the profile, curious as to whether the actress was on FB or if it were a fan page.  I've gotten likes from actors before. Some I think were legit because they were just likes. Some of the cast of the "Sopranos" liked a post I made about the controversial ending of the series, where it suddenly went black- and that was it. Series over.
