Sin Titulo

 There's a person- maybe on Tik Tok- who makes fix-it type videos about this and that. I see the REELS on Facebook. I saw them work on a lawn mower and this evening, trying to split a wet log with an axe. This person is trans, male to female, I'm pretty sure. Not unattractive, but the voice is a tell. And this, of course, is fine. Be who you are. 

What's interesting is the comments, most of which are of the "you're doing it wrong" variety that are the staple of comments everywhere. No matter how expert someone is at anything, there's a bunch of know-it-alls out there who will correct them. Matter a fact, there was a woman who is an acclaimed expert in, let's say, Quantum Physics. I don't recall her name, but I think she had one of those names that aren't gender specific. So, let's call her Chris Smucatelli. After a presentation, a guy comes up to her and tells her how wrong she is and advises her to read Chris Smucatelli's book. Something like that. She, of course, is Chris Smucatelli and she wrote the book so, how wrong could she be about what she knows? 

Now, the fix-it gal is named Caylee Pendergrass. It appears that only a few people mention that she's a transperson in any given video (and I've only seen a few) and they don't get too mean. I'm really not sure if it's one of those things where most everyone knows and most don't care. I hope so. She has also caught the eye of a lot of fellas who are quite taken with her. I wonder if they know. 

But what prompted this piece tonight was, two people posted that they used to like her until she wore a Harris/Walz t-shirt. I could imagine a meeting where either of those two could dress her down for her support of Harris and tell her to get on the Trump train cause "he'll get rid of all those yucky transpeople!" That's probably likely. But here I am being prejudiced and assuming all maga hate transpersons, like it's a requirement. Maybe they just hate Harris/Walz for reasons...

Maybe these people haven't noticed she's trans because they were too busy hating her politics. That's blinders politics.

Molehills On the Battlefield

An odd exchange with a follower earlier. To another poster I added to his complaint about the recent trend of side-by-side reaction videos They are dumb and pretty much unnecessary. My addition was that I didn't like the ones where someone is telling a joke, and on the other side of the screen is a clip of someone laughing outrageously. Why? And perhaps worse, the split screen is used to tell a story, and the other side is some inexplicable B-roll of some unrelated product being made. Again- why? Are these first world problems? Yes. But I wasn't crying or praying to Trump that these 'creators' be deported to a Sudanese prison. I was just kinda bitching. Is that wrong? To one follower, it was! Flipping the Script

 When it comes to TV and movies, I don't like to know how the sausage is made. But full disclosure, I find it hard to resist the inside info when it comes to "The Sopranos". As luck would have it, there are a bazillion YouTubes about all things Soprano.  It's kinda crazy to me that people that people spend so much time gossiping about a fictional show. "Why did this happen? Why that? How 'bout this theory?"  Shit like that. My first thought is always, ask the writer. It's their story. It's not ours to add anything to it. It's not "The Bible", after all.  Story arcs are different though. I've been seeing a lot of a particular arc in The Sopranos that always befuddled me.
