The $3 Trillion Dollar Question
Aren't we all curious as to how life in the US might be in the near future? There's a lot of speculation!
That's all I can do right now myself. But let's take the current fear of presidents Trump and Musk hijacking Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. What would it be like to have 77 million seniors out on the streets, penniless and fending for themselves? Pretty ugly thought.
Oh, sure, the news would have feel good stories about grandma moving in and what a generational boon that is for the family unit as a whole to have grandma or grandpa living with the extended family, but let's be real: most folks couldn't afford to take care of their parents/grands in the good times of the Biden days. It's expensive for one and it's beyond the capabilities of most people, mentally and emotionally to care for seniors.
But, in the interest of Making America Great Again, it must be done. There's like three trillion dollars sitting in Social Security right now, and presidents Trump and Musk have had it with these moochers. The party is over! Or soon might be. You, me and sentient beings understand that SS is money that working people pay into- like a savings account- all our working lives. Room temperature IQ republicans like Trump and Musk believe it is government money that could be used to pay down the enormous US debt, or build golf courses, whichever comes first.
You can't look at our two presidents as if they were normal people. They aren't. You can't say, "Oh, they wouldn't do that about anything. When you don't answer to anyone- or won't answer to anyone- you can do whatever you want to do. Putting millions of seniors on the streets will not bother either of these guys. They don't walk the streets of America, not even D.C. or Mar Lago. Security reasons, perhaps. They won't have to see these people. They won't have to hear about them. They are already taking steps to make sure that only select media that doesn't bother them with tough questions are on hand for interviews. I don't know if that's plausible deniability, but it's pretty obvious trumpability. He bombed Yemen today. The first he knew of it was when a pesky reporter asked him about it. Or so he says.
Three trillion dollars. What wouldn't guys like them do for that kinda dough? I think we are fixin' to find out.
It's possible he may not know what his staff is doing. Is that crazier than him calling the shots? I don't even know anymore.
ReplyDeleteOne is as bad as the other. Just imagine the uproar if Joe Biden had responded like that.
