Burn It Down Already
A country that lets a president who attempted a coup to stay in power, even run for POTUS again, just isn't getting democracy right and maybe should be burned to the ground.
What luck! We've got just the motherfucker to do that!
The coup, stolen documents and just the fact that Trump- everybody knows about Epstein's Island- wasn't enough to at the very least keep this asshole out of the race, makes a mockery of this republic and democracy.
Goddamn. I've said it before, but it really seems like both sides of the aisle wanted this to happen. Not each and every one of them obviously as that's too many cooks in the coup kitchen, but both parties and the billionaires who own them felt it was time.
Time to end this grand democratic experiment that was the envy of the world and cash out. History, if we are to have history in the future, will probably come to the conclusion that the politicians got tired of playing good cop/bad cop and the billionaires grew tired of financing it.
This was inevitable if you think about it. Kinda surprised that it took this long really. They were just waiting for Trump I suppose. Think of any president in my lifetime (which goes back to Eisenhower!) and ask yourself which one of them could have destroyed the country.
Not a one. Not even Bush or Nixon. None of them even tried. That's because they all understood the system and how important it was to maintain the status quo. They got things done- good and bad- but they respected the game, and they played it. You couldn't even have gotten Nixon to go along with destroying democracy. You certainly couldn't have gotten Joe or Kamala to do it. It had to be Trump.
The most perfect, yet the most ridiculous patsy ever. They ran him three times!
Alright. I have to admit that was brilliant on the republican's part. Ted Cruz. Jeb Bush. Marco Rubio. None of them could beat Hillary Clinton. Moreover, none of them could get close enough to cheat to win. Only a wild card like Trump could pull that off. Only he could make the people, and the government think, "Shit, what a remarkable American success story! This guy came out of NOWHERE and won the hearts of the American people!" Well, won the Electoral College, at least. Hillary beat him by 3 million in the popular vote. In any other country that's a win.
We know all that shit though. Russian collusion. The three state's she *ignored* and lost by a total of like 87,000 votes, and yada, yada, yada. What I don't get is how- and why- they had him lose in 2020. Biden beat him soundly by 7 million votes and that Electoral College that, for some reason, is the only thing that matters.
Well, he sucked as president. We know that. I guess it would have looked a little squirrely if the guy who was such a national and worldwide embarrassment won again. That Cinderella Story was not going to happen. It wouldn't sell. That's why he lost.
But that's all old news we've long grown sick of, isn't it? Was Trump supposed to destroy democracy in his second term in 2020. I think so. Every man ever elected to president knew that you had to get that second term to get things done. You don't have to fret being reelected in a second term. The way Trump talks he doesn't worry about him being elected to the 3rd term he's threatening us with either. Or the fourth...
We the people can't go on like this. Many of us deserve better, but possible that most of us don't. America hasn't been great since maybe WWII. As well as we did then, we still had state-sanctioned racism in the country, and that is not the least bit great. Perhaps we could once see greatness from the shining city on the hill, but not anymore. It is out of sight and getting more out of mind each day.
Burn the bitch to the ground. Spill the bad blood. But don't go back to the way things were. That just got us to where we are today.
Totally agree. It's gonna hurt but we need a restart.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to recommend democratic socialism and that the survivors beat the snot out of anyone who doesn't understand socialism.
